Today on World Pharmacists Day, I would like to convey my heartfelt thanks to all pharmacists around the world. This year’s theme — “Pharmacists: Caring for you” — reflects our emotional connection to patients and the important role we have in providing care to the public. I am proud to see that, now, in the sixth year of World Pharmacists Day, more and more pharmacists and the public in general join us in recognising and celebrating our profession. As care providers, we pharmacists, have achieved tremendous success in our goals to improve patients’ quality of life. I invite you to join me and your colleagues today in celebrating World Pharmacists Day 2016. Take this opportunity to promote our profession, and demonstrate just how much we care for our patients.
